UPWARD SOUTH
Upward South is a design studio in the making. were we would provide many design based solutions and creative outputs, and to provide an unique solution that we can provide to society. We are also aiming to have sub brands under upward south, were you would have studio spaces for different creatives, a biker club for different kind of therapy and a restaurant / café that would be present at our location.
Design Process Begins....
This section onwards you can look through the design processes I followed and the visual and design collaterals there came to be after each step.
The Brief / Concept Note
The brief / concept note was made so we could have a more clear idea and direction before we could start on any solid work. The brief could be modified as we do (or did) more research and gain more clarity.
Visual Research
During this phase I was looking at different studios and production houses on how their visuals and branding, to see how I could create visuals collaterals of the brand and what kind of direction I can follow.
Research
During Research I was collecting information and looking / taking inspiration and notes from other studios and see if there are any issues or problems that can be unique to us that we solve.
TA & User personas
After all the research we continued to expand on the target audience to define it further and create user personas.
Brainstorming
The Brainstorming session was all about the services we can offer, the name of the studio, also the sub services / brands we can run under the upward south parent brand,
Strategy
This section is still a work in WIP (work in progress), we will update as soon as we can. But the strategy is all about the strategies would use to get manage projects, quality tests, maintain relations with clients, etc.
Moodboarding
I was hoping follow the overall minimalist style all over from this moodboard, but the design style took a more vintage style overall.
Branding
As the branding usually starts with the logo (after the research stage, brainstorming & mood boarding stage) the logo went through a lot of ideation and iterations till I came to this final point at the time and continued the branding.
Side Quests
These are sub brands under the main brand to explore and have these interact / create community, studio spaces, biker clubs, eating areas and more. (this is an interactive section. use the buttons to see the different images.)
Website Design + Prototype
This section has all to do with the website design and the prototype.. Although this section's work is still progress, you can have a look at the visual and prototype progress being done so far. and you might have to play around with the viewing option to get the best way to view the prototype.
